Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

Dry Needling

In contrast to wet needling, which uses hollow-bore needles to inject corticosteroids, anesthetics, botulinum toxins (Botox), or other agents, dry needling uses thin monofilament needles without the use of injectate to treat and manage myofascial trigger point pain (MTrP), chronic musculoskeletal pain, and nerve pain. And yes, they are the same needles used in acupuncture.

Injury Prevention

It doesnā€™t have to hurt.

Preventative medicine is just as important, if not more important, to human performance. Insurance companies typically don't cover ā€œpre-habā€ and only kick in after an injury. We believe that preventative care and proper education can help to decrease or even eliminate injuries and chronic pain pathways.

Hang in there.

Return to sports/sport performance

Starting slowly with activity and gradually building up to previous activity levels is important to avoiding injury. Self-confidence concerns and fears can cause anxiety about the possibility of injuring yourself again.

It is important to know how your body functions so when you do have an injury you can help figure it out and get back to being active. Mental training prepares the mind to help you perform at your best, mentally and physically.

Alpha Therapy helps by figuring out how your body works, what you can do to fix your problem, and how you can get in the right mind to recover and return to sports/ sport performance

Gait analysis, also known as walking or motion analysis, is a comprehensive evaluation of the way an individual stands and walks. Gait can be influenced by many things such as age, personality, mood and sociocultural factors.

In most cases, gait can be corrected by engaging in certain exercises to improve your coordination and balance, which means strengthening certain muscles to release tension and pain in other places which will soon work your body back to normal

Ergonomics/shoes

Ergonomics primarily refers to the overall process of arranging a workplace, systems, and equipment in a way that makes it easy for people to use them.

You can fix these bad habits by making sure you have good posture when sitting, making sure shoulders are relaxed, having arms and elbows relaxed at a 90 degree angle when working and many more.

Your shoes are important because with a bad pair of shoes you could experience many types of pain all over your body.
